Experienced Software Engineer Ethan Hann Joins the SnowShoe Team

SnowShoe’s fast-paced growth continues as the team adds two new members this week.

Today we welcome Ethan Hann who joins SnowShoe’s skilled team of experienced software engineers. Ethan holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, where he also began his working career. As Lead Software Developer in the university’s IT department, Ethan managed a team of engineers and introduced a successful development process that resulted in a vast increase in quality and maintainability of software solutions.

Ethan has held a variety of senior and lead engineer roles during his career. As Senior Software Engineer for affiliate marketing agency Track Revenue Inc., Ethan managed the optimization of the agency’s online ad API to achieve throughput of 6,000 requests per second. He leveraged Cortana Intelligence Suite and other Azure services to develop machine learning API which automatically optimized ad selection, significantly increasing revenue and decreasing time spent on manual ad selection.

As Associate Director of Scientific Computing for Mount Sinai Health Systems, Ethan oversaw the team responsible for the software used by researchers to collect and analyze data. Under his leadership, the team increased software deployment frequency and greatly reduced the risk of unauthorized access to patient health records.

When his career was impacted by Covid last fall, Ethan decided to get back into the world of game development, a passion from his college days. He founded Fire Chicken Games, which offers a suite of tools allowing developers to more easily create new games. His tools range from centering around a combat module to 3D model plugins to an animation toolkit. Fire Chicken Game’s toolkits have received eleven 5-Star reviews on the Unity Asset Store.

Ethan says that he became very interested in SnowShoe upon learning about the company’s innovative solutions and 32 patents in 18 countries. His conversations with various team members further confirmed his excitement around the company, and we are thrilled to have him join us.

Welcome Ethan!
